I really, really, really should have known better than to take anything at face value. Obviously, information is now coming to light about the… instability about certain things that I’d thought was already confirmed. After all, if you were told by God that you’d be an Angel, surely you’d believe what He said.

Don’t trust Him, though.

There’s always bureaucracy to get through. Probably a Council  of Angels who are in charge of so-and-so who would probably tell you there’s this and that form to be signed, procedures to follow, things to get approved first before anything is confirmed.

I really feel like complaining, but seriously. It was really too good an offer to be true, and you know what they say about things too good to be true. They’re usually too good to be true, and there’s usually a catch in it. But I’m not going to continue ramble about this, especially since the information is second-hand. Let’s just take things one step at a time, and see what happens first-hand.

I’m a bit frightened, though. And nervous. And when I’m nervous, I tend to giggle. A lot. That never happened in the past, by the way. So it’s probably part of a change in me.

There really hasn’t been much to talk about me. Life so far… It’s mostly been content. There isn’t much I’m interested in now. Except maybe Tokio Hotel and even then I see my interest slowly waning. There’s only so much information you can absorb before it all becomes the same old news. Same thing happened to MCR, AL, OB & etc.

But TH hasn’t been all for naught. I think Bill is a really inspirational character. Besides being a Virgo (like me ^^), he’s strong and confident and sexy and funny and cute and romantic and… there. You know, living. And TH has come so far since they first started. How can you not be inspired and amazed? From playing small gigs to huge stadium concerts with pyrotechnics all around Europe and United States, I’d say that’s a pretty long journey.

And despite all the flake he gets for dressing the way he does (like he’s gay, or he’s anorexic and going to die from starvation etc.), he still continues doing so. And I really admire him for that. Doing what you want, not caring about what people say about you because they’re always going to say something about you, believing in your dreams, reaching for the stars…

I want to be like that too. I want to be brave and strong and courageous like the Gryffindors and wear whatever I like and not care about what people think. (I’m still very paranoid and get anxious when people stare at me for too long) I want to live my dreams so that one day, when I die, my tombstone can read: “Death is life’s next great adventure, for she’d lived to the fullest”.

So… yeah.

I want to dance under the rain, sleep under the stars, go bungee jumping, trek around the world, see the Big Apple, take a cheesy tourist picture with my finger holding up the Leaning Tower of Pisa, sit in gondolas drifting in Venice, snow ski and make snow angels and have snowball fights somewhere snowy, speak five different languages (I’m two and a half language away from that goal!), knit gifts for my loved ones, take pictures of my travels, document the different cultures I witness as I fly around the world, make friends with people from everywhere, have a car race in a desert (kudos to you if you get my reference), make a movie (or two), write a book (or more), bake cookies, knit jumpers for my kids, sew and quilt and cook and make ice cream and just… live.

Life’s too short and we’re all going to die anyway, so why not make it as fun as we can and live it to the fullest?

After all, we are the heroes of our own story.

And I’m damn well going to have fun.

I’m going out tomorrow. I’ve won a contest for some Garnier hair products. It sounds really silly, but it’ll probably be useful. If I can’t think of what to get Mum for Mother’s Day, I can always give her that. She likes her hair to look nice, and well, I guess this will be good. I can’t think why I would even use it, so it’s better off going into capable hands.

I’ll catch a movie too. Hopefully it’ll be good. I’ve been pretty good at keeping my promise so far. I’ve been going out lots, and when I don’t I take breaks and drink lots of water and help out with chores and stuff. Falling back into my old routine would be much too easy, so I’ve been keeping on my toes, somewhat.

Happy happy new year! I hope you’ve been enjoying yourself so far, whatever you’re doing. As for me, well, I suppose lazing around reading fanfiction and eating m&ms is a good way to enjoy a new year, eh? Heh.

Well, since it’s a new year, there’s resolutions and goals to made, and hopefully, accomplished at the end. Seeing New Year’s resolutions already posted up on several of the blogs I read is inspiring me to make my own. Well, here goes nothing!

2009 New Year’s Resolutions
1. Knit down my stash to half its current weight. At the moment, it’s worth 6kg so that means 3kg of yarn to go!

2. Really put in the effort to study. Aka, read up before lectures, actually work on projects, etc. And bring my grades up.

3. Write at least 2 stories a month. Can be anything. Fanfiction, angsty originals, novels, etc. One of them must be either HP/DM or HP/SS and uploaded to FF.net or whatever other fanfiction archive.

4. Actually “work” by finaaaally putting up those hand-dyed yarn on Etsy for sale. Need to support yarn habit and save for er.. rainy days/a DSLR like Canon 450D/buying films for my Holga/books = basically my spending money. (eek!)

5. Read (at least lah!) 2 “real” books a month. Skimming, flipping pages, reading fanfiction does NOT count as reading real books. Note to self. Important.

6. In November, participate in Nanowrimo and write at least 25k words. (I am realistic. It won’t be easy reaching 50k!)

7. Do something nice for someone (anyone) everyday. Can be holding the door open as they walk through, saying thank you to the cashier, not grumbling at yet another chore, or sharing something (that I don’t want to share) with someone, etc. And being nice to my sister. (eeee.)

8. Don’t spend time on laptop all the time! Freak ah? Addiction/slavery to internet must GO! Therefore: Sleep by 1am, use only from 12pm (on free days).

9. Eat more veggies and less meat? Er. Sounds like a bad resolution since eating chicken is my favourite.

9. Update my blog at least twice once every week.

10. Get out and about more! Staying at home, stuck in front of a laptop, or reading waaay too much is really a pain in the butt. Literally. Stuff that can be done: Photography, er, meeting up with friends (old and new), people watching, drawing and maybe even chilling in cafes! Hmm. Sounds fun.

Hmm. These sound like workable resolutions. Although they somewhat look familiar.. Might have made resolutions like these before. Ah well. I’m off to do something. Anything, really. Getting off my butt. Number 8 in effect already.

1. I once threw a bottle at a classmate (now friend) and it nearly broke his nose. He’s forgiven me (phew!) and now we just have “friendly” competitions in exams and tests. (He won me in the ‘O’ level examinations, damnit. I WILL win you someday, I promise!)
2. I’ve only finished a pair of Fetchings, sadly. The rest are UFOs/frogged/hibernating.
3. I’ve made new friends in my new school, yay me!
4. I was once an extremely obsessed My Chemical Romance fan; I have their CDs, posters, interviews, videos, and the only thing that’s missing is a picture with them and an autograph. (Not too crazy about them now because they didn’t come out for a fans session after their concert last year! *peeved* haha, but I still do love them ’cause they’re the best ever!)
5. I hate running. ‘Nuff said.
6. I love frappuccinos. Bad combination with #5 and whipped cream on top.
7. I’m a paranoid cheapskate lazy worrywart whose eating habits vary according to her moods and probably scares away all the boys. Haha!
