Here’s a couple of finished FOs I’d done!

Notes: Good thing about this hat is that I don’t need any cable needles! Love that fact. Knitted up real quick, and gifted to Steph as her Xmas gift! Was planned as sequel to birthday scarf I made for her.

Notes: Bleah. Pattern was real easy, but boring. Good for travel knitting, at least until the length became bleah. The only thing about scarfs is that getting them to a decent length seems to take forever. Was planned as sequel to birthday hat I made for SK.

And for updates on my other WIPs, well, I’m currently putting JY’s fingerless gloves on hold. Needing to remake another glove is so meh. I’m gonna wait for inspiration to hit.

As for A’s scarf, I’m about to reach the end! Oh, seeing the light at the end of the tunnel is so inspiring. I’m gonna rush, and hope I can send it over with some other goodies as a Spring present! As for Mum’s shawl, I’ve finally reached the halfway point. 25 repeats. Oh god. And I have another 25 to go. FML. It’s still a very, very long journey, but it makes for good TV knitting, though.

This one was taken on our last day in Wuhan, and damn, looking at this really makes me miss the place. I’ve got this huge miss-age for it now, and most especially the rou si ji dan chao mian (Shredded meat egg fried noodles) which I discovered much too late. All that’s left now are memories and the unconscious slurping of drool when I think about the food.

Ever since Wuhan, I’ve discovered a greater love for food – my palate is no longer limited to my favourite staples like rice and soup. I’m learning to try out different kinds of foods and step out of my comfort zone. I guess that’s a good thing!

I find myself missing a lot of other things too. Time’s passed by so fast and we’re no longer fifteen, we’re eighteen and considered adults. I miss my childhood, back when I had all the time in the world to read all the books I wanted and not have to worry about anything else. I miss friends that I’ve made and who’ve gone away to foreign lands.

But all these missing isn’t going to do me any good, so I’m going to look forward to the future to make the best it can be, but I’m never going to forget what the past’s brought me.

Notes: Did this one on Christmas Day. Was moping around at home and started it due to Startitis.

I’m feeling absolutely horrible. There’s a terribly bitter taste in my mouth and I have a blocked, runny nose that just refuses to listen to me and stop clogging up my nose. It’s so irritating.

Anywho, that picture is one of the Memorial Statues. I think it was of the Indians, but I’m not too sure. It’s the one opposite the cricket pitch and the Courts of Justice. The sky was looking pretty that day, so I took a picture and it posed happily for me.

I’m sort of tired now. I just want to go to bed and cuddle up in my blankets and pillows. I have three, did you know? Heh. Alright. Night night and sweet dreams.

Today I started using him, and oh boy was it fun. I nearly went mad with giggling at the retarded pictures I took of my siblings. Idiots though they may be, I do… well, l-love them. *grimaces* Saying stuff like that is weird.

So is calling your loved ones baby, in my opinion, unless they really are a pack of squalling brats bawling their heads off, then yeah, it matches. It’s just so… odd, calling your boyfriend/girlfriend, “Hey baby, blah blah blah…” I mean, “darling” is still fine. Or “Hey honey, I’m home!” At least it still… sounds normal. Not baby. No baby for me, no sir!

Oh, realised I digressed. In any case, I hope to finish this film soon, and then I’ll send it for processing soon! *grins* Can’t wait to show you my photos!

Can’t help it, I’m just in a “the name Severus sounds so cool!” mood. Maybe it’ll wear off. Someday.

And I found my calling for the day. (Largely inspired from reading about breadalongs.)

Baking.

Looks yummy, aye? It’s Banana Bread…. of sorts. I fumbled some parts of the recipe, like mashing bananas and stirring them into the batter instead of cutting them and placing them on top. How weird that would be. I think.

And 3 hours later, look! It’s almost half gone. I wonder if it’ll be all finished by Friday.

Oh, and about that breadalong, here’s a lousy pic of my chef. *grins

Is it possible to feel slightly drunk from smelling the alcohol all the tiny littlest yeasts are making? And.. Was I supposed to open it? Or should I have left the cap on until it was time to feed the little chef? Hmm…

And I dyed some yarn today! I finally got off my lazy ass (in every sense of the word) and picked up the 3 languishing skeins of sock yarn that I’d gotten I can’t remember when. Unfortunately, since the first time I dyed, I’d forgotten that dyeing makes your hands… icky.

Luckily I have my finished Merletto Mitts to cover up the worst of ‘em.

And I’ve knitted er.. about 3, 4 more repeats of my Victorian Lace Shawl!

I’m not too sure why, but I suppose it’s some sort of defense mechanism I have instilled into me. Don’t let anyone get too close. That habit is once again resurfacing, but it’s stealthily hidden under laughter and nonsenical conversation that doesn’t reveal any information. Cool, huh?

It’s better that way, but that’s not what I wanted to say.

Although I’m usually pretty mean, I can be nice, too. I made a hat and a scarf for her birthday. Knowing the weather in Singapore, it’d most likely never get used. But who cares? It’s cute.

PS: That scarf was handknitted. Literally. I used up an entire ball of yarn in my finger knitting, and ended up with some lame ass cord that I “converted” into a scarf. Heh.

I was bored. As in, I was really bored I made this video. I sang in it too. ;P

It’s a cover of Time Isn’t Healing by feltbeats (aka Tom Felton), and I thought it was pretty nice. And I was home alone, with no one to bother me (thankfully!) so the quality of the sound (at least on my com) sounded pretty good. But YouTube kinda made the nice pictures look less nicer, so… yea. I hope you enjoy it!

Yet another drawing from the Potterverse of Ronald Weasley and Hermoine Granger. Again, I used ArtDungeon as my template of sorts. I drew it myself, but the idea’s from her! In a way, I’m using her to practice drawing better. I suck at drawing if I have nothing to refer to, but I can copy pretty well. I learn by copying. I guess.
