But I got it from a local supplier who sold it to me for SGD160. You can get a lot of Kindle Touch in ebay for SGD160 here in Singapore. I guess the SGD 10 difference was worth it when I got it the same time I wanted it and not have to wait. Overall, its a great device. I just finished The Clash of Kings on it and I'm almost finished with A Storm of Swords. Also, it is a great device to read Manga! I just uploaded the entire Walking Dead series into it and it is great! Hey, I also got my kindle touch last december.

But I got it from a local supplier who sold it to me for SGD160.

You can get a lot of Kindle Touch in ebay for SGD160 here in Singapore.

I guess the SGD 10 difference was worth it when I got it the same
time I wanted it and not have to wait.

Overall, its a great device. I just finished The Clash of Kings on it
and I’m almost finished with A Storm of Swords.

Also, it is a great device to read Manga! I just uploaded the entire
Walking Dead series into it and it is great!

No, you don't need a US credit card to purchase books from the amazon store. You can just use a normal credit card (I use a debit card) or gift cards to buy them. However you should use a IP address blocker because I've heard of cases where people's accounts just get shut down. Jeff (the blog I linked in my post) is a nice guy and he shares his Always VPN account with fellow Kindle users. You can try contacting him to use it to buy books :) Hey TWJ!
