But you can download the Kindle app which will sync and show the books you've bought from Amazon. I've downloaded chinese books before and it works. The only thing is that there is no chinese dictionary, so for the words that I don't know, esp the traditional ones, I have to refer to good ol' Google Translate. As for chinese books on the iphone, to my knowledge it's different file type from amazon's .amz or .mobi, so I'm not too sure if it'll work. However, in case it doesn't, you can use Calibre, a converter application.
