It’s been a while since I’ve blogged, and guess what? Just today, well, more like yesterday now seeing as it is 3 am in the morning, I went to The Click Five‘s concert!

And it was awesome. I swear, there were several times when I felt as though Kyle Patrick was looking right at me! Hahaha. It’s probably me being delusional, but hey! There’s so little in my life to be happy about, just leave me this to feel sort of optimistic ok!

There were also other acts, like Inch Chua and the Metric System (I like her!), Shirlyn Tan and the UnXpected (they’re ok) and Nathan Hartono and friends (his friends were just bleak).

The sky was damn awesome ok! Little editing was done to the pic, except for resizing it. Oh, and I forgot to mention. I used a circular polariser, which gave it that cool vignette look. So really, no photoshopping much! Btw all the pics are taken with Nic’s camera, so, much thanks Elmo!

Sophie and her SMEs – convinced them to take a pic. With the sky so beautiful, how could you say no?

Shirlyn Tan and the UnXpected – Surprisingly, one of her songs was quite nice. It’s called Window, and apparently it’s been playing on the local radio stations already. No wonder it sounded so familiar…

Inch Chua – this cute ball of fun and her awesome voice. Her songs sound better live, though. My fav song? Rule the World. It’s epic.

Nathan Hartono – Dude’s got a nice voice. Sadly, his accompanying friends didn’t do much justice to his segment.

Xing Fen – I think that’s the way to spell her name la. In any case, she didn’t impress me much. Breathless in the middle of the second song while dancing. I get that she’s still a newbie, but still… More work needs to be done lor. First song was damn wtf though. T____T

Dominic Wong – He sings kinda nice, but there were a few hiccups along the way. Plus, that stand is so in the way!

The Click Five – Finally! The act we’ve all been waiting for!

JY, Soph & Me – Hahahaha ok this one I cannot resist commenting about it. Doesn’t my face look like it should be photoshopped out? I look like a light bulb lolz, albeit a very  tanned one But anyways this was the first gig that all three of us attended!

Joey Zehr – This guy is cute ok! Plus he came out and did fanservice, which is awesome! And guess what? I got his autograph!

Kyle Patrick- Ok, you can’t deny he’s kinda cute. But he feels a bit more standoffish than Joey, so… I dunno. Anyway, I got his autograph too! Was waving like one dog with my notebook, flapping it above the poor people’s head. Lolz.

Really enjoyed myself at The Click Five concert, even though I was really cutting it close with a report and final presentation due the very next day. T____T

Worked throughout the night (no naps literally!) at the hotel and went back home to shower, get my attire ready, and flop down to school to present. D:

Finished the presentation just 5 or 10 mins before we were due, and had Soph & Mich arriving with the report (they went to print and bind it) just as we were supposed to present! FML we are jokes. Even the Director was there to listen in to our presentation. OTL

Anyway, it went well. I think. We finished at around 20 mins 40 secs? Which should be ok, since we’re not supposed to exceed 21 min. 20 min’s the allocated time, but we’re given 1 extra grace min. There were quite a couple of questions though, and I hope we answered them sufficiently!

Then afterwards, we went out to have sushi at Hanabi Restaurant, thanks to Dawn! Dawn the Demented treated us to an awesome sushi buffet, and I ate as much as I could but started giving up soon while JY and Soph continued gulping down the sushi like air. They are scary. >_<

Oh, and we had some Jap dessert at Ministry of Food to finish off the day! I think I had some Kurian dessert, shared it with JY, and Soph had some Macha drink thingy (?) and Dawn had a Fruit dessert thingy. FML I can’t remember the names, but I do remember that the desserts were really nice! I like the red bean and the mochi (?) and the ice cream. I want to go back again ^^

No pics for dinner, though. I’d thought of bringing my cam, well, Nic’s cam down, but I got lazy. Lol. I feel a bit regretful. The foods were awesome and would have made great pics. Meh. Never mind, there shall be future outings!

I’ve got to knit faster, though!

This one was taken on our last day in Wuhan, and damn, looking at this really makes me miss the place. I’ve got this huge miss-age for it now, and most especially the rou si ji dan chao mian (Shredded meat egg fried noodles) which I discovered much too late. All that’s left now are memories and the unconscious slurping of drool when I think about the food.

Ever since Wuhan, I’ve discovered a greater love for food – my palate is no longer limited to my favourite staples like rice and soup. I’m learning to try out different kinds of foods and step out of my comfort zone. I guess that’s a good thing!

I find myself missing a lot of other things too. Time’s passed by so fast and we’re no longer fifteen, we’re eighteen and considered adults. I miss my childhood, back when I had all the time in the world to read all the books I wanted and not have to worry about anything else. I miss friends that I’ve made and who’ve gone away to foreign lands.

But all these missing isn’t going to do me any good, so I’m going to look forward to the future to make the best it can be, but I’m never going to forget what the past’s brought me.

Heh. Doesn’t it just look like a monster of some sort? Just too many teeth or something?

I finished a hat in two days, or to be more accurate and count in terms of hours, just under one day! Golly whiz, I’d never expect the knitting fever to hit such a crescendo. Then again, there’s a deadline for the hat, so it sort of makes sense.

After a long, tiring day of school tutorials, coming home to a package waiting for me was the best sort of fun I could get. I had so much fun opening the package and going gaga over the items inside. I’m really thankful to my spoiler, so I just want to give a big shout out to Kathy, THANK YOU! I am so going to wear the hat to school next Mon!

Every other thing I think of to do for fun just seems so dull. Gah. I think I’ll call it an early day today. Maybe sleeping could speed the time passing by. Blah. Bye.

owls sweater

Some knitting update!

It’s been ages since I’ve posted a picture or post related to knitting and its like. So here’s a picture of the sweater I’m making. I started it about a month ago, and after some really fast knitting I got the stage where I had to make short rows and I froze.

I kinda panicked, really, and I’d never done short rows before and was absolutely certain that something would go wrong. After two weeks of languishing under a pile of junk I decided, enough was enough. It was wailing and bawling at me and I wanted it to be finished simply so that it would shuddup. I started again last night and it did go wrong (like I predicted, I can be a Seer! lol) because the short rows (to make give the sweater bust some leeway) were placed in the entirely wrong place, and my armholes are at the back of the sweater instead of being placed at the side. I blame the mistake entirely on… my drug-fuzzed mind last night.

Basically this means that I’ll be frogging a couple of rows and reworking the short rows by fudging them. And this lesson teaches you not to knit when you’re high on meds. Speaking of which, it’s time for my next dose. See ya later!

I’m feeling absolutely horrible. There’s a terribly bitter taste in my mouth and I have a blocked, runny nose that just refuses to listen to me and stop clogging up my nose. It’s so irritating.

Anywho, that picture is one of the Memorial Statues. I think it was of the Indians, but I’m not too sure. It’s the one opposite the cricket pitch and the Courts of Justice. The sky was looking pretty that day, so I took a picture and it posed happily for me.

I’m sort of tired now. I just want to go to bed and cuddle up in my blankets and pillows. I have three, did you know? Heh. Alright. Night night and sweet dreams.

I’m going out tomorrow. I’ve won a contest for some Garnier hair products. It sounds really silly, but it’ll probably be useful. If I can’t think of what to get Mum for Mother’s Day, I can always give her that. She likes her hair to look nice, and well, I guess this will be good. I can’t think why I would even use it, so it’s better off going into capable hands.

I’ll catch a movie too. Hopefully it’ll be good. I’ve been pretty good at keeping my promise so far. I’ve been going out lots, and when I don’t I take breaks and drink lots of water and help out with chores and stuff. Falling back into my old routine would be much too easy, so I’ve been keeping on my toes, somewhat.
