At the root of every relationship there has to be trust.

If trust is lacking, then no matter how much both parties are in love with one another, that mistrust will surface in the way they interact with one another, and they will always be suspicious of one another.

Even if they attempt to sweep it under the carpet, it will always be there, like a land mine waiting to go off.
